He went to America in January 1909. He trained to become a milk tester for the State of California. He tested dairy cows for tuberculosis. Bruno and Eleanor owned a farm in Orland, CA, then moved to Loleta, CA. Bruno was a clerk and bookkeeper in the Dixon and Dixon General Store for many years. Eleanor was the county librarian for Loleta.
